Why venture firms are hiring filmmakers now
Venture firms are hiring filmmakers. Not marketing people: the kind who make the shows you binge on a Sunday.
AI made content basically free, so there's an endless pile of it, and people stopped watching something just because a company posted it. They watch what's good, same as they always did with shows and movies. These firms looked at the feed and saw who they're really competing with. It isn't other VCs. It's every decent creator on the internet.
Most founders still post a panel clip, talking head, caption on top, and wonder why it did forty views. That's not the algorithm being unfair. You're competing with the show your audience binged last Sunday.
